At 10.42AM, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a house on fire in Vincent Street at Oak Park following several calls to Triple Zero (000).
Crews arrived on scene within 5 minutes to find the house issuing fire and smoke from the roof, so the response was escalated.
FRV crews donned breathing apparatus and began an external attack on the fire, eventually gaining access to internally attack the fire.
The fire was deemed under control by 11.41AM.
All occupants were safely evacuated from the house, however they were assessed by Ambulance Victoria for smoke exposure.
The cause of the fire is not yet known but it will be investigated by FRV specialists.
Firefighters remained on scene for some time, to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
