Specialist FRV firefighters from the High Angle Rescue Team responded to an incident in Tarneit on Thursday afternoon.
FRV and CFA crews were called to a Sayers Road construction site just before 1pm, after a caller to Triple Zero (000) reported a person had collapsed on a roof and was injured.
Firefighters worked for almost one hour to lower the man to safety, before transferring him into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics.
Firefighters then handed the scene over to Worksafe for further investigation.
