Approximately 22 firefighters responded to a house fire in Bentleigh on Wednesday morning.
A neighbour called Triple Zero (000) to report smoke and flames coming from the house on Jasper Road just before 11:45am.
FRV crews arrived on scene in five minutes to find the front of the home engulfed in flames.
Fortunately the sole occupant of the house had safely evacuated.
Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters attacked the fire and brought it under control in 20 minutes.
It’s believed the fire was started by a heater.
