House fire in Glen Huntly now under control

Approximately 28 firefighters this morning have brought an abandoned house fire under control after arriving on scene within four minutes following calls that there was fire in the two front rooms of the house.

Crews from Windsor, Glen Iris, Ormond and Oakleigh Fire Stations wearing Breathing Apparatus quickly worked to make the scene safe, entering the building and began searching for anyone potentially in the premises.

Nobody was found following the search and no injuries have been reported. The fire was announced under control 12 minutes.

Five Pumpers, a Rescue appliance and an Aerial appliance were assisted by 3 support and specialist vehicles.

Victoria Police are investigating.
