House Fire in Hillside

FRV and CFA firefighters responded to a house fire in Hillside tonight.

Several calls were received just before 7.15pm reporting significant smoke and flames issuing from a residence in Hillside.

The property was fully involved in flames when crews arrived.

Crews in Breathing Apparatus tackled the blaze and were reliably informed by the occupants that no-one was trapped inside. 

The fire was brought under control in just over an hour. 

A Community Warning for smoke in the area was issued.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended.
