House Fire Vermont South

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to a house fire in Vermont South, following a call to Triple Zero (000).

Crews arrived on scene to find a single storey, brick veneer dwelling, totally engulfed in flames.

Wearing breathing apparatus (BA), and utilising an aerial appliance to deliver water from above, firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, bringing the incident under control within 30 minutes.

Five of six occupants, who were at home at the time of the fire, had safely evacuated prior to brigade arrival with no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene to support firefighting activities. 

Firefighters will remain on scene for some time, to ensure the fire is fully extinguished.
