A man and his dog were able to escape a fire which engulfed their Braybrook home thanks to working smoke alarms.
FRV firefighters were called to the unit in Churchill Avenue about 2am this morning and arrived to find the property in flames.
Luckily, the sole occupant and his pet dog had been alerted to the blaze in the small hours of the morning due to smoke alarms operating.
