Man rescued from Pascoe Vale house fire

FRV firefighters have rescued a person from a burning home in Pascoe Vale this afternoon.

Crews were called to a single story flat in Cumberland Road shortly before 3pm and arrived to find the building ablaze and smoke billowing from it.

Firefighters entered the building to search for occupants and located one person who was placed into the care of paramedics.

The fire was under control by 3.37pm.

Fire Investigators will investigate the cause of the incident which has been referred to Victoria Police.
