On 31 March 2026, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) and the Australian Manufacturing Workers’ Union (AMWU) reached in principle agreement for a proposed enterprise agreement known as the Fire Rescue Victoria, AMWU Mechanical Engineering Workshops Enterprise Agreement 2025 (Proposed MEW Agreement).
The Proposed MEW Agreement sets out the employment terms and conditions for the staff it covers and outlines updates to pay, leave entitlements, work arrangements and other key employment provisions.
Staff eligible to vote on the Proposed MEW Agreement can now access it and any documents or legislation that are referred to in it by clicking on the links below. FRV encourages staff who will vote on the Proposed MEW Agreement to read through it in its entirety during the access period before casting their vote.

What is the access period?
The access period is the mandatory minimum seven day period under the Fair Work Act 2009 that must occur immediately before employees vote on a proposed enterprise agreement. During this period, FRV must provide staff with the Proposed MEW Agreement and any documents or pieces of legislation that are referred to in the Proposed MEW Agreement. FRV must also clearly explain the terms of the Proposed MEW Agreement and its effect on staff so they can make an informed vote.
The access period for Employees to view the Proposed MEW Agreement commences from 17 April 2026.
When is the voting period?
- Voting opens at 8am AEDT Tuesday, 28 April 2026
- Voting closes at 5pm AEDT Tuesday, 5 May 2026
What is the voting method?
FRV is using CorpVote Pty Ltd to independently conduct the voting process to protect your privacy and ensure a fair and equitable vote.
Voting will be online or by telephone.
All votes submitted through this system are anonymous and both online and telephone voting methods are secure.
Voting instructions
You will receive detailed instructions from CorpVote when the vote opens. To vote, you will need your Voter Access Code and your Employee Number. Your Voter Access Code will be sent to you by email and/or SMS at the time the vote opens (using the contact method you have already chosen). Your Employee Number is at the top of your payslip – we suggest you look this up to prepare for voting.
Only votes successfully made before 5pm AEDT Tuesday, 5 May 2026 will be counted. You can only vote once, and all votes are registered anonymously.
