Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews responded to a shop fire in Coonans Road, Pascoe Vale South overnight following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000).
Crews arrived on scene within five minutes to find the shop issuing flames from the front of the building.
Wearing beathing apparatus, firefighters worked to extinguish the fire which was contained to the front awning and front portion of the shop.
There were no occupants present at the time of the incident and no injuries reported.
The incident was deemed Under Control at 12.34am.
A total of ten appliances and 22 firefighters attended the scene and power and gas companies also attended.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene to support firefighting activities.
The cause of the fire has been deemed suspicious.
