More than 20 FRV and CFA firefighters have spent the evening fighting a house fire in Point Cook.

Crews were called to the address in Middleton Drive shortly before 7pm following calls to Triple Zero (000) and arrived in about seven minutes to find smoke and flames erupting from a two-storey town house.

Luckily all occupants had safely evacuated.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus mounted an internal attack on the blaze and managed to get it under control by 7.30pm.

Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police also attended the incident.
