Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) crews arrived in under 5 minutes after calls to Triple Zero (000) reported a shop on fire in Watts Street, Sunshine, this morning.
Firefighters found the disused shop fully involved with fire, and the response was escalated.
Crews attacked the fire as well as protecting the adjoining buildings.
The fire was deemed under control by 5.21AM and a search of the property revealed no-one inside the premises.
A community warning was issued to avoid the area due to smoke and many fire trucks occupying Watt Street.
The power and gas companies were on scene isolating services.
