Quick thinking firefighters extinguish dangerous car fire

FRV firefighters made quick work of a car fire which erupted in Cranbourne West on Thursday.

The crew from Cranbourne Fire Station were called to the incident on Hall Road and Dandenong-Hastings Road just after 11.30am.

Firefighters from Cranbourne arrived on scene within six minutes and quickly extinguished the flames, bringing the incident under control by 11.47am.

Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria paramedics and CFA also responded to the incident.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
