FRV crews responded to an incident at Mulgrave on Sunday morning following a caller to Triple Zero (000) reporting a house fire.
More than 20 firefighters arrived to the Milton Crescent scene within five minutes to find a single-storey building well alight.
Wearing breathing apparatus, crews attacked the fire to bring it under control at 04:45am
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria also attended the scene.
