The first crews arrived on scene within six minutes and quickly called for additional support after they were met with a fire that had fully engulfed a single storey structure, causing the roof to collapse.

Firefighters quickly located an occupant, who thankfully was unharmed.

The property was part of a 12 unit complex, and crews worked quickly to contain the fire and stop it from spreading to neighbouring properties.

The incident was declared under control within 30 minutes.

A teleboom, several pumpers, rehabilitation and breathing apparatus units all formed part of the response.

Ambulance Victoria supported FRV at the incident and treated one resident.

FRV’s specialist Fire Investigation Unit is analysing the scene this morning, with investigations ongoing.
