Ruff morning in Toorak

14 firefighters, including FRV’s High Angle Rescue Team (HART), responded to an incident in Toorak this morning after a caller to Triple Zero (000) reported that their daredevil dog was trapped on the second floor of the residence.

 

Firefighters arrived on scene to find the adventurous pup’s back legs trapped in the gutter of the Mathoura Road residence.

 

A HART safe work system was set up on an upper floor, allowing FRV HART operators to access and assist the Collie dog.  The pup was promptly rescued and safely returned to the owners at 9.15am. One HART member described the rescue as “ruff” but all were happy to see the dog to get his paws back on the ground.
