Smoke affects Melbourne's northern suburbs

FRV has received multiple calls for smell of smoke across Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

The smoke is believed to be from burn offs in the Kinglake, Wandong and Mt Disappointment areas.

Light prevailing winds are pushing the smell of smoke across Melbourne.

These burn offs are planned and are being managed by Forest Fire Management Victoria.

The Bureau of Meteorology expects the smoke haze will continue throughout the night.
