At 7.10am, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident on Nullawil Street, Springvale after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported black smoke issuing from a home.
CFA firefighters also attended this incident.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a fire within a 10m by 15m weatherboard home.
Firefighters knocked the fire down.
The incident was deemed Under Control at 7.26am.
Firefighters will remain on scene to ensure the safety of the area.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were also on scene.
