At 4.01pm, FRV responded to a Triple Zero (000) call for a house fire in Walmer Avenue, St Albans for a single storey brick weatherboard home measuring approximately 15m x 15m.
FRV crews arrived on scene in 7 minutes and escalated the response as the fire had fully engulfed the house and was threatening to spread to a neighbouring property.
Firefighters donned breathing apparatus and entered the structure with hose lines to attack the blaze and conduct a primary search for any occupants in the dwelling.
At 4.41pm the fire was deemed under control.
A secondary search confirmed no occupants inside the house.
No injuries were reported.
The fire has been deemed suspicious.
Victoria Police will investigate.
Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria attended in support of FRV operations.
