Sunshine West school blaze brought under control

More than 30 firefighters responded to a school fire in Sunshine West just after 3 pm following a call to Triple Zero (000).

FRV crews arrived to the Glengala Road scene in just two 2 minutes to find a building approximately 20 x 15 metres in size, well alight.

Using specialist aerial appliances crews attacked the fire externally to bring the blaze under control and contain the fire to the building.

A community advice message was issued for smoke in the area with the fire declared under control at 3:53 pm

Thankfully there have been no reported injuries at this time with Ambulance Victoria supporting at the scene.

The fire is believed to be suspicious with Victoria Police also attending the scene.
