Suspicious fire at Tarneit

Approximately 50 firefighters responded to a house fire in Tarneit on Thursday afternoon.

Multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported the fire on Cutleaf Court just before 4:00pm.

FRV and CFA firefighters responded to the blaze, with the first crews arriving on scene within five minutes to find the house fully involved in fire.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters attacked the blaze from all sides and worked to bring it under control in 40 minutes.

Fortunately, the house had no occupants inside.

Firefighters determined the cause to be suspicious, and remained on scene to monitor hot spots and flare ups.
