Suspicious garage fire in Sunshine West

Firefighters responded to Sunshine West just prior to 4pm on Monday afternoon, following multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a fire.

FRV crews arrived at Hall Street within six minutes to find a garage fully involved in the blaze.

Crews conducted an external attack on the fire and worked to prevent it spreading to neighbouring structures.

The fire was declared under control after approximately 20 minutes, with firefighters remaining on scene to completely extinguish the flames and to make the scene safe.

The fire is believed to be suspicious, and the scene will be handed over to Victoria Police to investigate.

Ambulance Victoria paramedics also attended, ensuring the welfare of FRV crews.
