Suspicious house fire in Kingsbury

Thirty firefighters responded to a house fire in Kingsbury early on Saturday morning.

FRV crews were called to the Keats Avenue incident just after 3:30am, after a caller to Triple Zero (000) reported the blaze.

Crews arrived on scene in four minutes to find the house well alight.

Wearing breathing apparatus, they worked quickly to gain access to the house and to knock the fire down.

Firefighters brought the fire under control 30 minutes after first arriving.

The cause has been deemed suspicious and will be handed over to Victoria Police once FRV crews have made the scene safe.

FRV firefighters worked alongside Ambulance Victoria at the scene.
