Tarneit house fire under control

Approximately 30 firefighters responded to Tarneit just before 3:45pm, following multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reporting smoke issuing from the roof of a house.

FRV crews arrived on scene at Serengeti Circuit to find a two story brick house involved in the blaze.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus attacked the fire and contained it to the second floor and roof area of the building.

Crews conducted a search of the house, but found no one was home at the time of the fire. 

The incident was declared under control at around 4:30pm.

The cause of the fire is not yet known, but FRV’s specialist fire investigators will attend the scene.

CFA, Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police assisted Fire Rescue Victoria at the scene.
