More than 40 firefighters worked to bring a grassfire in Taylors Lakes under control on Friday night.
Multiple callers to Triple Zero (000) reported the fire in Chalmers Place just after 11:00pm, and said the fire was threatening nearby fences.
FRV and CFA crews arrived on scene in five minutes to find a grass fire spreading in a westerly direction, away from homes.
Firefighters brought the fire under control within 30 minutes and remained on scene for an hour and a half to monitor for hotspots.
No injuries or damage to property was reported.
