Tullamarine shop fire under control

Fire Recue Victoria (FRV) responded to a fire in a takeaway food shop in Tullamarine in the early hours this morning.

Firefighters arrived within 7 minutes to find a car through the front window of the shop with smoke and flames issuing from within.

Firefighters evacuated two occupants of an adjoining milk bar and requested Ambulance attend for possible smoke inhalation.

Through their quick work, FRV crews were able to bring the fire under control within minutes of arriving on scene.

The fire has been contained to the front section of the building.

The fire has been deemed as suspicious and will be investigated by Victoria Police
