FRV crews arrived at the property within five minutes, just after 4am on Friday morning. Additional resources were deployed shortly after.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters entered the property to search for occupants.

They removed two people from the building and placed them into the care of Ambulance Victoria paramedics.

Swift work by firefighters ensured the fire was brought under control within 35 minutes.

The fire spread across more than half of the roof structure, and crews remain on scene to check for any hot spots along the 10m x 15m roof line of the single storey home.

FRV’s specialist Fire Investigation Unit is on scene working to determine the cause.

At the height of the fire there were six firefighting appliances on scene including a rescue, in addition to two other FRV units.

FRV was also supported by Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria.
