Arriving within seven minutes, firefighters quickly worked to ensure the driver and passenger of the car were safe while assessing the garage structure for stability.
Upon assessment it was deemed the garage was at risk of collapse and posing a significant risk after extensive damage was found to supports posts and surrounding brickwork.
FRV Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) operators quickly and safely propped up the garage to prevent collapse, and were assisted by three Pumpers and two support and specialist vehicles.
Ambulance Victoria paramedics were on scene and assessed the two occupants of the car, with no injuries reported.
FRV was also supported by Victoria Police.
