Vermont shed fire threatens neighbouring properties

Saturday 14 August 2021 9:03pm

Callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a grass and shrub fire on Moore Road just after 1.10am.

FRV crews arrived on scene to find a shed fully involved in flames, and quickly escalated the response.

Wearing breathing apparatus, FRV firefighters worked as one with CFA to access the fire and knock it down, preventing it spreading to neighbouring properties.

Firefighters brought the fire under control within 14 minutes and remained on scene for some time to extinguish any hot spots.

They believed the cause to be suspicious, and handed the scene over to police for investigation.

Thankfully there were no injuries.
