Viewbank bungalow fire swiftly under control

FRV firefighters have made quick work of a fire which engulfed a Viewbank bungalow this morning.

Crews were called to the Warren Road, address about 9:30am following multiple calls to Triple Zero (000)

Firefighters arrived on scene in less than 4 minutes to find the bungalow on fire and threatening the main property.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews quickly conducted a search of the bungalow to ensure no one was inside, before attacking the fire, bringing it under control within 19 minutes.

At the height of the incident, more than 25 firefighters were on scene, along with 10 appliances. Including five pumpers and an aerial unit.

At this stage, the fire is being treated as suspicious and Victoria Police is investigating.
