FRV firefighters responded to a house fire in Kurunjang on Saturday afternoon after a working smoke alarm notified the occupant of a fire in a bedroom.
The occupant was able to evacuate their family and family pets due to being alerted by the working smoke alarm.
FRV firefighters responded to the Linda Place scene to find flames and smoke issuing from a single-storey house.
The fire was brought under control within 40 minutes.
Ambulance Victoria also attended the scene.
