The Firefighters’ Presumptive Rights Compensation and Fire Services Legislation Amendment (Reform) Act 2019 (the Act), responds to eight reviews into Victoria’s fire services that have been conducted over the past decade – including the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission.
